What is Regenerative Medicine?

Regenerative Medicine therapies involve an injection of concentrated growth factors from placental or amniotic tissue, or platelet-rich plasma to regenerate and heal tissues in joints, muscles, tendons or ligaments. Dr. Haynes uses these therapies to treat acute or chronic pain conditions related to degenerative disease.

What can Placental Therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma treat? 


Chronic Joint pain like Osteoarthritis. This type of arthritis is common in feet and patients will often complain of joint stiffness, throbbing, and swelling. There is no cure for osteoarthritis, but regenerative medicine therapies such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and placental umbilical cord tissue injections are a new generation of treatments that have been proven to be safe, effective, and have lasting results. We use Restorajel and 22-Bore. Restorajel and 22-Bore contain biological ingredients sourced from donated, healthy human birth tissues collected from hospitals by US tissue banks in accordance with CDC, FDA, and US Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network policies. All donors sign an informed consent and have been screened for donor eligibility risks and infectious diseases by an independent, CLIA-certified laboratory based on American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) standards for the collection of birth tissues. 

This structural tissue is used for reconstruction, repair, and replacement. It uses the original relevant characteristics of structural tissues such as support, strength, flexibility, cushioning, covering, and compressibility.

Structural tissues may contain both extracellular matrix and cellular components because any alteration of these components that relates to the the structural tissue’s utility for reconstruction, repair, or replacement would be considered more than minimal manipulation.

Restorajel is used for via injection for joint pain, plantar fasciitis, ligament and tendon pain, as well as for wound healing. Key components found in Restorajel are Hyaluronic Acid which has potential to stimulate tissue repair and regeneration in joints and tendons. Nanoparticals, which contain growth factors and proteins that can promote tissue regeneration and repair. 22-Bore
22-Bore is a specially formulated viscous gel derived from Wharton’s Jelly, a natural substance with healing properties. It contains essential components that support tissue repair, resembling the natural structure of the body’s extracellular matrix (ECM). Additionally, the gel is enriched with MSC-isolated Exosomes, tiny particles that improve communication within your body, enhancing its ability to heal.

Platelet Rich Plasma

When your body is injured, its first natural response is to flood the area with growth factors that promote healing. These growth factors are released by platelets.     The products Restorajel and 22-Bore are ordered and stored frozen. They are then injected at the time of the visit. They provide growth factors that aid in repair, reconstruction, and replacement of damaged tissue. They actually heal the damaged tissue.
  2. PRP Cells
    – Isolation of cells or platelets
    – A blood draw is performed from your arm.
    – A high concentration of cells or platelets are separated by being centrifuged at high speeds with a specialized system
  3. Injection Process 
The placental injections and PRP are then accurately injected into the injured tissue or affected site using ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance.
